Research Associate – Jewish Communal Organizations (Part-Time Contractor)

What’s the Job?

The Research Associate for our Jewish Communal Organizations is a newly created contracted, hourly position that will play an integral role on the search team driving DRG’s recruiting efforts for Jewish Communal organization searches. As a Research Associate, you will identify and create highly-curated lists of potential exceptional candidates for nonprofit executive-level positions by utilizing various online resources, proprietary DRG databases, and other online platforms. Your research will be essential in helping us connect top talent with a variety of mission-driven organizations that serve as our clients.  

Research Associate responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Candidate Sourcing: Utilize online resources (i.e., LinkedIn, GuideStar, Charity Navigator), proprietary DRG databases, and referrals to identify potential candidates that consider the qualifications and skills required for the position with the backgrounds and experiences of potential candidates. 
  • Database Research: Navigate and leverage proprietary DRG databases to access potential candidate information, including professional backgrounds, career histories, and contact details.  
  • Research Lists: Generate highly-curated lists of potential candidates for each assigned search that consultants can use for outreach.  

Who are we looking for?

The Research Associate for our Jewish Communal organizations portfolio will ideally possess the following qualifications: 

  • Deep understanding of the national Jewish community landscape. 
  • Strong proficiency in online research using platforms like LinkedIn, GuideStar, Charity Navigator, and others.  
  • Knowledge of the non-profit, foundation, and/or independent schools sectors preferred. 
  • Experience working with recruitment, candidate sourcing, prospect research, or human resources preferred.  
  • Strong desire to spend your time working independently doing online research.  
  • Familiarity with using and extracting data from databases and other online resources.  
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.  
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.  

Additional Details

This is an hourly, remote contractor position with an anticipated workload of 10-15 hours/week. We are looking for a contractor that would be able to distribute the total hours up daily over the course of the week. The majority of the work will be independent and during flexible hours that work for you but it will be important to meet with the project team and/or project lead occassionally to ensure the research is on track and candidate sourcing is aligned with engagement goals. 

Compensation is $35/hour.
