Pleased to announce that John Javis has been appointed Chief Executive Officer at the Behavioral Health NYC IPA (BHNYC). John will serve as the inaugural CEO of this newly created behavioral health provider network whose mission is to provide rapid access to mental health and substance abuse services that are embedded in the community and delivered by culturally-competent and linguistically diverse clinicians.
Behavioral Health NYC IPA (BHNYC) is a newly formed entity initially funded by New York State Department of Health as a Behavioral Health Care Collaborative (BHCC) as a vehicle to promote readiness for value-based payments in the behavioral health field. The organization is comprised of 17 community-based behavioral health organizations and 32 primary care organizations, Performing Provider Systems (PPS) and other organizations, that address social determinants of health. BHNYC was developed collectively as an extension of agency membership within The Federation of Mental Health Services, Inc. The BHCC VBP readiness grant program operates under a “pass-through” arrangement with Health First as the Program Administrator.
