Pleased to announce that Deborah Hoffman has been appointed Vice President of Finance at Student Sponsor Partners (SSP). As part of the Senior team at SSP, Hoffman will help build the fiscal team and bring the currently outsourced finance function in-house. She will be responsible for building out all the financial systems, internal controls, chart of accounts, and all of the finance functions for the organization, including benefits, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting.
SSP’s mission is to provide New York City high school students who live in poverty and face significant barriers to academic success, with a college preparatory non-public high school education. Founded in 1986, SSP has financed and guided over 7,000 low-income students through high school by providing each student with a sponsor to fund the high school tuition, a mentor to provide support and guidance and a dedicated staff to provide additional care and support.
