We are pleased to announce that Dr. Darin Katz has been appointed Head of School of Hillel Day School. Dr. Katz will have ultimate responsibility for implementing the vision and mission of the school and for ensuring an outstanding general studies and Jewish education program. Dr. Katz will be responsible for all school operations, including supervision of the school’s leadership team, oversight of its financial well-being, maintenance of board relations, advancement of its financial resource development and growth of its enrollment.
Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit was founded in 1958 and is located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Hillel provides an outstanding Jewish and general education to students beginning in early childhood through eighth grade. For more than 60 years, Hillel has played a critical role in the Detroit Jewish community by cultivating leaders who think critically and independently and live committed Jewish lives. The school is ISACS accredited and currently serves 575 students with over 100 faculty members.
