Associate – Research & Outreach

What’s the Job?

As a new Associate and as part of the Research and Outreach team, you would be joining DRG at a time of rapid growth. The Research and Outreach team is the primary engine for our recruitment efforts. Reporting to the Director of Research and Outreach, you will work collaboratively with the team as well as with DRG’s Talent Consultants to drive candidate outreach and pool creation.

Associate responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Use online resources (i.e., LinkedIn, GuideStar, Charity Navigator), proprietary DRG databases, and referrals to identify outstanding candidates.
  • Engage candidates in preliminary conversations and first-round interviews, communicate with candidates throughout the search process, and conduct reference checks for finalist candidates.
  • Maintain information related to search assignments in internal databases, ensuring that all materials in each stage of the search process are properly logged and recorded.
  • Draft and produce client-facing deliverables including but not limited to candidate presentations.
  • Create high-quality client proposals in support of consultant business development efforts.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for high-energy team players who have excellent written and verbal communication skills, are comfortable on the phone and have a passion for working with nonprofit organizations. Associates are great listeners who can manage multiple concurrent deadlines, have an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and are quick learners. This is a position for someone who has a superior work ethic and has a strong sense of accountability.

At DRG, we pride ourselves on supporting and developing internal talent. As an Associate, you will have the opportunity to attend client meetings and deepen your understanding of organizational structures, behavior and, of course, executive search. You will also have exposure to business development efforts and client management best practices. Associates at DRG have gone on to become Talent Consultants and play leadership roles in our company and in the nonprofit sector more broadly.

Location:  This is a full-time, exempt position. Location is flexible; our staff work from home offices or shared workspaces near where they live. Depending on the course of the pandemic, some travel may be required in the future; the amount and locations will vary depending on client needs.
