Interim Leadership Collective (ILC)

About

The Interim Leadership Collective (ILC) is a curated network of interim leaders, providing support, professional growth, and access to rewarding interim opportunities. The ILC equips leaders to succeed in interim roles while helping nonprofits continue to thrive during transition.

What are the criteria to join the ILC? 

  • Experience.  Members must have at least 12 years of combined experience as a Leader and/or Interim Leader (IL). Additionally, IL should have completed IL training (Support Center) and/or professional development. Connections to professional networks or leadership communities are valued, as they bring additional perspective and engagement to the collective.
  • Engagement with ILC Leadership. Members participate in an introductory conversation with Amichaim Abramson and Carole Wacey.
  • References. As part of ILC onboarding, Members are asked to provide the names and contact information (email) of at least two individuals.   
  • Recruitment. Members should help to recruit or refer qualified potential leaders to join the ILC collaborative.
  • Active Participation. Members should participate in bi-monthly ILC gatherings and be actively seeking an IL role (or be in an IL role). 
  • Sector Support:  Demonstrated commitment to supporting the nonprofit sector.

Why join the ILC?

  • Prestige and Eligibility. Membership is based on demonstrated leadership and track record as an Interim Leader and a Long-Term Leader.
  • Pipeline Priority. DRG will give first consideration to ILC Members when clients seek Interim Leader services.
  • Networking, Community, and Visibility. Members gain access to a powerful network of experienced Interim Executive Directors, enhanced professional visibility, and expanded opportunities. Participation in the ILC fosters a sense of community, connection, and shared learning among peers.
  • Compensation Guidance. DRG and Members will provide benchmarking and guidance on relevant topics, including fair compensation, benefits, and work schedules.
  • Expert-Led Gatherings. Members are invited to participate in expert-led sessions and peer discussions that support effective interim leadership.
  • Referral Compensation. DRG will pay Members a referral fee of 5%.
