The President ensures McQuaid Jesuit is faithful to its Catholic character and mission as a Jesuit School, an apostolate of the United States East Province of the Society of Jesus. The President serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the school and as Director of the Work for the Society of Jesus. As Director of the Work, the President is missioned by the Provincial of the United States East Province of the Society of Jesus.
