The Lower Eastside Girls Club opened its doors in 1996 to educate girls, empower women and build community girl by girl. Acclaimed internationally for its visionary program and facility, the LESGC state-of–the–art community center at Avenue D and 8th street offers a safe haven with innovative programs in the arts, sciences, leadership, entrepreneurship, and wellness for girls and gender-expansive youth in middle and high school, offered at no cost to youth and their families.
